FAQS

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM THERAPY?

More than advice, therapy is a journey of exploration. You can expect nonjudgmental support as you learn to navigate emotions, adapt to difficult life circumstances, and heal past wounds. Therapy is a safe place to challenge unhelpful ways of relating to yourself and the world around you.

WHO DO YOU SERVE?

I specialize in grief & loss, transition and change, and depression & anxiety. If you need support in one of these areas, check out the service pages dedicated to your concern.
My practice focuses on serving adults over 18 years old.

HOW DO I GET STARTED?

When you are ready to start services, contact me on the connect page of my website. I will reach out to schedule a consultation call. This call is an opportunity for me to learn more about you, answer any questions, and schedule our first meeting. After our call, I will send you an intake packet via email to review and sign before starting therapy.

HOW LONG DOES THERAPY LAST?

Sessions last 50 minutes and are scheduled weekly in the first phase of treatment. Session frequency may decrease as symptoms improve. Since each client has unique needs, the length of treatment is determined on an individual basis.

WHAT DOES THERAPY COST?

Individual therapy is $150/hr.
Couples and Family therapy is $175/hr.

CAN I USE MY HEALTH INSURANCE?

Most of my clients are self-pay. For those interested in using health insurance benefits, I offer a Superbill for clients to submit to their insurance provider for out-of-network benefit claims.

DO I HAVE TO BE DIAGNOSED TO QUALIFY FOR THERAPY?

No! Not everyone interested in therapy meets the criteria for a mental health diagnosis. Many people come to therapy to gain support surrounding concerns like relationships, self-esteem, or life transitions.

IS IT OKAY TO BE NERVOUS?

Feeling nervous when starting therapy is normal! It takes courage to ask for help. Sometimes the hardest part is getting started.
